Confirmed: Obama authorizes assassination of U.S. citizen

Today, both The New York Times and The Washington Post confirm that the Obama White House has now expressly authorized the CIA to kill al-Alwaki no matter where he is found, no matter his distance from a battlefield.  I wrote at length about the extreme dangers and lawlessness of allowing the Executive Branch the power to murder U.S. citizens far away from a battlefield (i.e., while they're sleeping, at home, with their children, etc.) and with no due process of any kind.  I won't repeat those arguments -- they're here and here -- but I do want to highlight how unbelievably Orwellian and tyrannical this is in light of these new articles today.

It has been determined that under the new health stimulus law passed by President Barack Obama recently, that all Americans, by 2014, will be required to have electronic health records which will include their height, weight and body mass index (BMI).

Taking the full cost of wind and other renewables into account, the Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis has found that an RES would: 1) raise electricity prices by 36 percent for households and 60 percent for industry; 2) cut national income (GDP) by $5.2 trillion between 2012 and 2035; 3) cut national income by $2,400 per year for a family of four; 4) reduce employment by more than 1,000,000 jobs; and 5) add more than $10,000 to a family of four’s share of the national debt by 2035.

And that is just the “cap” half of President Obama’s Cap and Ban approach. The first Obama oil drilling ban already caused some oil rigs to leave U.S. waters entirely.

President Obama’s visual aids at town hall meetings, rallies, and conferences included a few desperate individuals torn between paying their home mortgages or paying their health care bills. A closer examination of the bill that passed Congress, however, reveals a different picture. The moral obligation to provide individuals with affordable health care, or to help Americans afford or keep their current health care, evidently only applies to the select few the liberals in Congress want to help.

If you have been following the Senate Finance Committee meeting on the amendments to the Health Care Bill you know that every single Republican amendment is defeated with unanimous vote by the Democrats and every Democrat amendment is passed by unanimous vote by the Democrats. This is a waste of time and money and America will suffer.  However, there is a way to stop this dead in its tracks.

Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure for the
Senate Finance Committee reads:

"Rule 4. Quorums. -- (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) one-third of the membership of the committee, including not less than one member of the majority party and one member of the minority party, shall constitute a quorum for the conduct of business.

(b) Notwithstanding the rule prescribed

by subsection (a), one member shall constitute a quorum the the purpose of conducting a hearing."

 Let it be known, that conservative citizens all across the United States demand that the Republican Senators in the Senate Finance Committee stop negotiating and Walk Out for America. We will support this effort and will support the Republican members of the Committee.

 Contact the Republican members listed with a phone call and/or email.  Quote the rule while on the phone and copy the rule in your emails.

 

There was a committee vote today and the public option was defeated by a 15-to-8 vote, but Obama and the Democrats will resurrect this in other forms - please call and email the Senators.
